Oregon
We had to cut across the south-east corner of Oregon along our route from Nevada to Idaho. Along the way we saw this herd of Antelopes standing in one of the countless enormous farm fields everywhere along our route. Our drive through this area of Oregon was short and only lasted an hour or two at the most but it was still just as beautiful and very similar to western Nevada. Almost home!
The Nevada landscape from Las Vegas to Oregon
Nevada has some of the most beautiful scenery along our trip but it was also the most difficult to photograph. The miles of high planes surrounded by snow covered mountains is simply stunning. With the Rocky Mountains to our right and the Sierra Nevada Range to our left, we were never without a beautiful view. How can a photo capture a stretch of land with absolutely nothing man made except for the road for hundreds and hundreds of miles? Amazing! And really cold too!
Las Vegas from our Hotel Window
These are all the photos we have from Las Vegas. We both got sick somewhere along the road and were exhausted from traveling. We drove through the main strip but did not stop to check it out beyond what could be seen from the car window. We were also hurrying along to finish our trip since we were quickly running out of money and energy.
